One person asked me tonight, "are the Oilers keeping Fistric out so they can showcase Whitney?"
No they didn't, stop trying to pretend anyone is stupid enough to want your opinion on hockey, bacon maybe, but not hockey. |

While the Oilers top line is great, the next three all have issues. Ales Hemsky is still scrambled eggs with the puck
Just one of many issues here. Clearly trolling for hits, clouts. Hemsky scored a garbage goal. Let me repeat that for you in case you didn't hear me while you were chewing on 8 dollar (frank)ing hotdogs. HEMSKY SCORED A GARBAGE GOAL. The first goal, at that.
Jesus christ. I loved your blogs during the lockout. Now I understand why you get trolled. |

Richard Cloutier: Separating the Boys from the Older Boys - Maxbone
Better recheck the replay Richard. At first I thought it was Whitney that was at fault for the goal aginst, but he actually tied up his man. Nuge is the one that lost his check in front of the net.
I only got to see the third period. Oil sat back and did not look good.
I do not agree with your line up suggestion. In my opinion Yak with Hall and gags would be no good. Although Hemsky sucked bag again tonight from what I saw. |

Hemsky scored a garbage goal he deserved no credit for. Hartikainen did all of the work. A four year old could have put the puck in the way Hemsky did. |

Hilarious. We both like Harti and want a body to battle infront of the net yet only one of us is man enough to give credit for the goal.

Yakupov is a sniper? BS.
I've only watched him in the WJ and a few highlights of KHL and the NHL season but the guy passes first. Even tonight, he's in the slot, gets a pass and FREAKING PASSES IT TO HEMSKY.
I'm afraid the brief on Yak is deceiving. He's a strong skater, tries to be a team first guy to his detriment. Shoot the (frank)ing puck, that's his job. |

It's not that bad since I actually like the Oilers. I just hope the Avs can pwn the Nucks, though that's farfetched, too. |

Anybody could have scored Hemsky's goal it was nothing special. Eberle's goal on the other hand, only a select few can make that shot. I wonder if all the people who work off the fancy stats (Jonathan Willis) who were talking about how Eberle will never reach the numbers he did last season are second guessing themselves.

Being a PowerPlay team can sometimes be dangerous, i agree you guys need more 5v5 goals.
Fortunately you have pieces to move for a big winger for your top six. May be a lot but you guys need a Lucic or Corey Perry. |

Why are you giving so much credit to Hemsky for that goal. He went to the net and found a loose puck on a goalmouth scramble. Ben Eager could have scored that goal. |

Everyone knows Eberle (frank)s your mom on his down time. that's not the issue here. |

Eager would have been concussed on his way to the net. |

So what is the issue? That you love Hemsky and refuse to recognize that he is a soft, injury prone player who more than often has plays die on his stick because he either tries to force a bad pass or make a fancy move and loses the puck and doesn't have the willingness to battle to get it back. Hemsky belongs on the line with Smyth and Horcoff so they give pucks away for their last seasons as Oiler regulars. |

At the end of the year you don't separate the trash and the fancy...they all count...he was there, he scored. |
